木洩れ日のようなテーブル
金属の脚と木の天板だけで作ったシンプルなテーブル。
建築の門扉やデッキにも用いた要素「エキスパンドメタル」という金属を家具にも使ってみました。
「軽量で容易に加工ができ、強度にも優れ、光を通す」という特性を活かし、ただ折り曲げただけのような柔らかさを表現。
職人さんの技術により丁寧に折り曲げ、安全性を高めるために端部も丁寧に研磨。

A table that resembles sunlight filtering through the trees
A simple table made with metal legs and a wooden top.
We tried using a metal called “expanded metal,” which is also used in architectural gates and decks, in our furniture.
Taking advantage of its properties of being “lightweight, easy to work with, strong, and light-transmitting,” we have expressed a softness that appears as if it has been simply folded.
It has been carefully folded by skilled craftsmen, and the edges are carefully polished to increase safety.
Design registration pending.
